Our last program for this season.   Everyone is welcome.  The program is free to the public.

"Letters to Sarah, a picture of a Littleton soldier and his family during the Civil War"  presented by Cynthia Schweppe

Sarah Parker was sixteen years old when her older brother, Ralph Waldo,  joined the 33rd Massachusetts Volunteers along with his cousin, George L. Whitcomb, and his brother-in-law, William C. Turner.  She saved letters that she received during the Civil War and they have been inherited by her great-granddaughter, Cynthia Schweppe.  Mrs. Schweppe and her son, Charles, will share what she has learned about Ralph Waldo, his family and Littleton during the Civil War.”
